I Want To Remember to stop atrocities from occurring again

I Want To Remember the African Holocaust

As a further disrespect to the victims of the abhorrent slave trade, in 2007 William Wilberforce was praised and promoted as if he single handily abolished the Transatlantic Slave Trade.

William Wilberforce veneration provided a good distraction from some of the uncomfortable truths, the mass rape of African children, the abominations, the inherited trauma, the vast wealth generated, the horrors in colonialisation, the wickedness, the immorality of the Church, the crimes against humanity and the African freedom fighters.

Why have Africans been waiting so long for an Apology from their former slave masters, the British?

Over 162,000 days have passed since the British, sponsored by the monarchy, embarked on their vicious mission to enslave Africans. During the 300+ years of horrific abominations against humanity, the conscience of British people was governed by their pockets, not their hearts. Has much changed today? Echoes of ‘we abolished the slave trade’ is a verse which is sung to quell the demons of guilt. ‘It was legal at the time’ is another part of the melody of plausible deniability. Is the fear of reparations muting the British governments ability to do the right thing by atoning?

The stance of the British government is embarrassing, its a bad example for us to follow. If we do something wrong we should not delay an apology. Imagine if we all said something like, ‘I have stopped kicking you now, so you should be thankful’. That is not the way to show remorse to a victim.

The absence of an apology defies all sense of decency.

Health Warning - Viewers are in danger of being labotomised

In 2007 we were all subject to a dose of patriot rallying with the Hollywood release of Elizabeth: The Golden Age. This Golden Age is the period which ushered the start of the English/British empire, the beginnings of great prosperity for British people. The logic which has perpetually eluded historians, script writers, decency and common sense is, this age was not Golden for Africans, Native Americans, the First Nation people of Canada, the Maoris, the Aboriginal people of Australia and other Indigenous people.

The victims, the indigenous peoples around the world would call this age,

  • the what the frig is happening Age
  • give up all your land and possessions Age
  • please leave us alone Age
  • the evil Age
  • the greedy Age
  • the savage Age

Below is a Video Antidote for the movie. In true Hollywood fashion there is a little mistake in this video, Queen Elizabeth and Mary of Scotland were not sisters.

The utmost respect goes out to Toyin Agbetu. Described by the BBC as a lone, shaven head protester, Toyin risk his life to tell the queen in her face what he thought about the farcical abolition memorial ceremony. Toyin had not planned to disrupt the proceedings, but he was compelled to voice his opinions after listening to a mockery of his ancestors. Afterwards he was given the full support of his African community in England and around the world. The Three major institutions were represented at the ceremony, the Church, the British Government and the Monarchy. Click here to see the videos
