The Arab slave trade in Africa predates the European Christian African slave trade by around a thousand years and continued for more than a century after the Europeans had abolished the practice. Arabs waged a holy war on Africans, anyone who was not a Muslim could be enslaved. The link between jihad and enslavement, provides a very tenable explanation for the unparalleled scale and persistence of slavery in Arab dominions, and societies.

Arabs had training camps to teach the mujahadin how to raid villages, kill the older women and men and take the others. The boys may be taken to eunuch stations to be castrated, one out of ten survived. The girls were sold to Arabs as sex slaves. Jihad slavery, in its myriad manifestations, became a powerful instrument for both expanse and the maintenance of Arab societies.

The European lust for oil was used to pressure Saudi Arabia, the centre of the Muslim world, to abolish slavery in 1960. If Saudi Arabia did not have oil slavery may of continued. To this day, Arabs are unable to face the demons of their past and atone for their abominations, because racism is well ingrained into their society. Africans are hated with a passion and are seen as the scum of the earth.

Today the appetite for African sex slaves is still being sustained for the Arabs in Sudan and Mauritania today.
